3/30/04- OK, So last night I'm reading and I decide to listen to My portable CD player. Now of course I cant find bateries
so I started looking for a AC/DC converter. (Not the Band) The first converter I find I decided to use without even thinking
of looking at the output on the thing. !!!POINT OF ADVICE!!! -DO NOT EVER DO THIS!!! I plugged it into my CD player and
pressed play... and the thing literaly blew up. It made a sound like a fire cracker goin' off and then it smelled really bad.
Thats not even half of it though. A couple of seconds later it started smoking.So I set this blown up smoking CD player on
my back porch and wait like a half an hour. When I finally take the thing apart the entire circut board on the inside is melted
with little capacitors floating in it along with a whole bunch of other things. Bottom Line- Always check your power converters!!!
